Attorney Ronald Berglund

Ronald Berglund

Background

Ron was born and raised in Richfield, Minnesota and attended Richfield High School. Ron did his undergraduate work at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Pete, Minnesota and the University of Minnesota. Ron attended the University of Minnesota Law School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Ron has been employed in private law practice as well as corporate practice for over thirty years, including stints with National Car Rental, the Carlson Companies and Sybaritic, Inc. in Minneapolis. Ron has also owned and operated several of his own businesses-- including Sona Med Spa in Woodbury, Minnesota and has worked with individuals and small business owners in the Twin Cities area for many years.

Law Practice

Ron has recently "streamlined" his practice and is dedicating the next decade to servicing the needs of his fellow "Baby Boomers". Ron's practice now focuses on working with seniors to help them with estate planning including the drafting of wills, trusts, powers of attorney, real estate transfers and other important documents. Ron has observed that many, if not most, of his friends and acquaintances have never "gotten around to" drafting and executing these critically important documents. "Wills, powers of attorney, TODDS and health care directives are so inexpensive and easy to do that there is no excuse for not taking care of it," Ron says. Ron believes that everyone owes it to him/herself to get these documents done prooperly to insure that their assets are ditstributed according to heir wishes and their family is assured that everything is in order. "We work so hard all of our lives that we need to make sure all of this effort has not been expended in vain" Ron reminds us.

Non Profit Organization

In 2012, Ron established an NPO d/b/a "Computers without Borders" ("CWB"). The mission of CWB is to procure and refurbish used computers and monitors, after which the equipment will be shipped to impoverished schools in the USA and the developing world. Ten percent of all legal fees Ron receives in 2014 will be donated to the mission of CWB.
